Wollondilly, Southern Highlands and Macarthur ready to assist CareFlight save lives

For the fourth year in a row residents from Wollondilly, Wingecarribee and Macarthur Shires will gather at the Tahmoor Sports Ground to experience not only a fun filled community day but at the same time raise money to assist NRMA CareFlight with their live saving work. Last year thousands of people attended the event and this year organisers are expecting even better results.

NRMA CareFlight is a crucial part of the medical response to emergencies and disasters in NSW. CareFlight doctors and aircrew are trained to work in extreme conditions delivering hospital level medical care at the incident scene.

NRMA CareFlight use helicopters for rapid response to emergencies as well as planes and road ambulances. CareFlight is a ‘Not for Profit' organisation that provides this live saving work to the community of NSW at no charge to the patient. The only way to continue providing this service is through the kind donations and support of the community through events such as the Community CareFlight Day at Tahmoor.

The community fair style event, organised by Wollondilly residents, will this year feature attractions that people may have never experienced before. This is in addition to the displays by emergency services, food stalls, live entertainment and of course kids rides including jumping castle and jumbo slide.

Everyone is welcome.

Community CareFlight Day - Sunday September 13, Tahmoor Sports Ground, Thirlmere Way, Tahmoor. Gates open 9am. Admission is gold coin donation
